Ben Tackett rushed for 195 yards on 28 carries and scored three touchdowns to lead visiting Knoch to a 21-0 upset of previously unbeaten Mars in a Greater Allegheny Conference game.
Mars (6-1, 5-1) was ranked No. 3 in the WPIAL Class AAA rankings. Knoch (5-2, 4-2) recorded its second shutout of the season.
Tackett scored on a 5-yard run in the first quarter, an 80-yard run in the second quarter and a 1-yard plunge in the fourth quarter to ice the victory.
Knoch accumulated 278 yards in total offense and held Mars to 136.
Devin Wilson scored four touchdowns, as the No. 1 Spartans (7-0, 6-0) edged the Cougars (1-6, 1-5) in a Parkway Conference road game. Wilson rushed for 143 yards and scored on runs of 7 and 16 yards. Wilson also caught 8 passes for 132 yards, including a pair of 22-yard touchdown passes from Ryan Mihalcic. Chandler Kincade completed 21 of 24 passes for 282 yards and two touchdowns for the Cougars.
Robert Foster scored three touchdowns to lead the No. 2 Warriors (6-1, 6-1) to a Parkway Conference road victory against the Vikings (3-4, 3-4). Foster caught a 36-yard touchdown pass from Nate Climo, then scored on runs of 4 and 14 yards. Jordan Whitehead led the Warriors with 133 yards on 17 carries and scored on a 37-yard run.
Joe Carroll connected with Zach Schademan on touchdown passes of 39, 6, 11, 37 and 11 yards, as the No. 4 Jaguars (7-0, 6-0) remain unbeaten in the Big Nine Conference with a road victory against the Leopards (2-5, 2-4). Carroll completed a school record 21 passes for 376 yards. Schademan caught 13 passes for 247 yards.
WPIAL rushing leader Jim Wheeler improved his season total to 1,345 yards with a 143-yard performance, as the No. 5 Titans (7-0) remained unbeaten with a non-conference win against the Little Indians (2-5). Wheeler scored on runs of 50 and 3 yards for the Titans, while Derrick Fulmore ran for one score and threw for another.
Elijah Jackson rushed for 205 yards on 22 carries and scored on runs of 5, 5 and 17 yards, as the Golden Rams (3-4, 3-4) posted a third consecutive victory in a Greater Allegheny Conference road game against the Golden Rams (1-6, 1-6). Dom McKinley returned a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown for Greensburg Salem.
The Talbots (6-1, 5-1) scored 42 points in the first half of a Greater Allegheny Conference road shutout of the Trojans (1-6, 0-6). Collin Luther caught touchdown passes of 25 and 59 yards for Hampton. The first was from Ryan Luther, and the second was from Jon Nigro.
Jaquan Davidson scored on runs of 5 and 1 yards to lead the Warriors (4-3, 4-3) to a Big Nine Conference victory against the visiting Rams (4-3, 4-3). Davidson also threw a 40-yard scoring pass to Matt Bernadowski. Ringgold's only score came on a 16-yard run by Nico Law.
The Panthers (6-1, 5-1) recorded their third shutout in this Greater Allegheny Conference game against the visiting Golden Tigers (3-4, 3-3). Dane Brown scored on runs of 18 and 13 yards for the Panthers.
Khalil Harvey and Kennell Washington combined for 197 yards and four touchdowns on the ground, as the Bridgers (3-4, 3-3) defeated the visiting Colts (2-5, 1-5). Harvey rushed for 107 yards and scored on runs of 52 and 47 yards. Washington rushed for 92 yards and scored on runs of 2 and 57 yards.
Tory Delmonico rushed for 156 yards on 13 carries and scored on a 55-yard run in the second quarter, as the Indians (6-1, 5-1) shut out the Hurricanes (3-4, 2-4) in the Parkway Conference. Chayse Dillon added a 55-yard touchdown in the third quarter to complete the scoring.
Corey Hunsberger scored on a 35-yard run and on a 21-yard pass from Don McWreath to lead the visiting Hillers (4-3, 4-2) to a Big Nine Conference win against the Red Raiders (1-6, 1-5).
Caleb Jakiel threw four touchdown passes, including two to V.J. Dean, to lead the Tigers (2-5) to a non-conference win against the Lions (1-6).
An 86-yard run by Raphael Cannon in the third quarter made the difference, as the Mustangs (1-6, 1-5) beat the Colonials (0-7, 0-6) in the Greater Allegheny Conference.
