• Quaker Valley girls tennis player Spencer Caravaggio signed with Duquesne. Caravaggio was the WPIAL Class AA champion and PIAA runner-up in both her sophomore and senior seasons.

The top-ranked baseball team in WPIAL Class AAAA overcame a four-run deficit to gain a big section win Friday.

Dakota Forsyth's RBI single in the fifth provided the winning run for Bethel Park, which rallied from four runs down to win at Mt. Lebanon, 5-4, in Section 5.

Corey Lazor had a two-run double earlier in the inning for Bethel Park (13-2, 5-2), which lost to Mt. Lebanon (6-8, 5-2) earlier this season.

Winning pitcher Tyler Grashoff struck out 11.
