Cindi Lash, 41, is a staff writer in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's local news department.
She joined the newspaper as a general assignment reporter in 1990 after spending five years covering police and public safety for The Pittsburgh Press.
Previously, she worked for the Birmingham News, the Washington (Pa.) Observer-Reporter and the Indiana Gazette. She is a 1980 journalism graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. A native of Finleyville, she lives in Mt. Lebanon with her husband and two sons.
