In a major realignment, parishes in the Catholic Diocese of Greensburg will close, merge or share pastors.

The following are the parishes that will close, with the parishes that will absorb them:

• All Saints, Arnold, with St. Joseph, New Kensington, as successor parish

• St. Boniface, Penn, with Sacred Heart, Jeannette, successor

• St. Mary, Our Lady of the Snows, Parker, with St. Patrick, Brady's Bend, successor

• St. Bede, Bovard, with Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg, successor

• St. Mary, Forbes Road, with St. Bartholomew, Crabtree, successor

• Holy Spirit, Fayette City, with St. Sebastian, Belle Vernon, successor

• St. Timothy, Smithton, with St. Anne, Rostraver, successor

• St. Charles Borromeo, Sutersville, with Holy Family, West Newton, successor

• Forty Martyrs, Trauger, with St. Florian, United, successor

• St. Stanislaus, Calumet, with St. Florian, United, successor

• Holy Trinity, Connellsville, with Immaculate Conception, Connellsville, successor

• St. Vincent de Paul, Leisenring, with St. Aloysius, Dunbar, successor

• St. James, Maxwell, with St. Peter, Brownsville, successor

St. Albert, Palmer, with St. Mary, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Leckrone, successor

The following parishes will be merged:

• St. Francis, Coral, and St. Louis, Lucernemines, merged to become Our Lady of the Assumption

The following parishes will share clergy:

• St. Joseph, New Kensington, and St. Mary of Czestochowa, New Kensington

• St. James, Apollo, and Our Lady, Queen of Peace, East Vandergrift

• Ascension, Jeannette, and Sacred Heart, Jeannette

• St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Kittanning, and St. Mary, Yatesboro

• St. Lawrence, Cadogan, and Christ, Prince of Peace, Ford City

• St. Ambrose, Avonmore, St. Matthew, Saltsburg, and St. Sylvester, Slickville

• St. Benedict, Marguerite, and St. Bruno, South Greensburg

• St. John the Baptist, Perryopolis, and St. Hedwig, Smock

• St. John, Connellsville, St. Rita, Connellsville, and Immaculate Conception, Connellsville

• St. Raymond, Donegal, and St. Boniface, Chestnut Ridge

• St. Mary, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Leckrone, and All Saints, Masontown

• St. Peter, Brownsville, and St. Cecilia, Grindstone
