Chatham University's Food Studies program is inviting the public to its third annual Food In Our Neighborhood event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, on the Shadyside campus.
The event, aimed at "fostering sustainable communities in Pittsburgh," includes workshops such as "Starting Your Own Home Food Business," "How We Connect People to Neighborhoods through Food and Words," and "Co-ops, Buying Clubs and Community Gardens."
From noon to 5 p.m., you can walk through the Community Foodscapes expo to meet an array of community groups, nibble food samples, and try activities such as building "seed bombs."
