The soda pop classic.
- 1 1/2cups butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 tablespoon lemon extract
- 2 1/2cups sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 3/4 cup 7-Up
Grease and flour a bundt pan. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time and beat well. Mix in extract, flour and 7-Up. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake for 1 to 1 1/2hours or until cake tests done. Allow cake to cool on rack for about 20 minutes before inverting. Allow cake to completely cool before placing on a cake dish.
Note: We didn't use a nonstick bundt pan. And even though we greased and floured the pan, the cake still stuck a bit. If you're not using a nonstick pan, grease the pan liberally.
