First layer:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 stick margarine or butter, melted
1 box Samoa cookies, cut into small pieces
Second layer:
1 cup powdered sugar
8-ounce package cream cheese
1/2 cup whipped topping
Third layer:
6-ounce package instant chocolate pudding mix
2 1/2 cups milk
Fourth layer:
1/2 cup whipped topping
For first layer: Mix together flour, margarine and cut-up cookies. Pat in bottom of 8-by-8-inch dish. Bake 25 minutes at 325 degrees. Cool.
For second layer: Mix powdered sugar, cream cheese and whipped topping. Spread over cooled crust.
For third layer: Mix milk and instant chocolate pudding and spread over second layer.
For fourth layer: Spread the whipped topping over third layer.
Tester's note: Avoid overbaking bottom layer. We used a 7-by-11-inch dish, which would have worked, except the crust was difficult to cut, and we had to add extra whipped cream for top layer.
