As the first Style Week Pittsburgh wraps up today, another weeklong fashion event is gearing up for its time in the spotlight.
The fourth annual Pittsburgh Fashion Week will be held Sept. 23-29. Miyoshi Anderson, who has worked as a model for more than a decade, started the event as a way to promote Pittsburgh's fashion community and to bring opportunities for local designers, stylists, photographers and boutiques to showcase themselves.
Here is the lineup for the week. Schedule is subject to change.
Sept. 23: 7 p.m. "Opening Night Extravaganza" featuring the "diva chef" Elise Wims, Highmark Stadium.
Sept. 24: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. pop-up appetite for fashion in Market Square; 7 p.m. "Rediscovering ManStyle" fashion show at Pittsburgh Winery, Strip District, with honorary models WPXI anchor Vince Sims, KDKA-TV anchor Rick Dayton and former Pittsburgh Penguins player Rick Tocchet. LaMont Jones will serve as master of ceremonies.
Sept. 24: To be announced.
Sept. 25: 6-8 p.m. "Pink Partini & Fashion Bash" featuring fall fashions, with KDKA-TV anchor Kristine Sorensen, Tanger Outlets.
Sept. 28: 7 p.m. Back-to-back runway shows featuring designs by Art Institute of Pittsburgh students, Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Downtown.
Sept. 29: 11:30 a.m. Pittsburgh Fashion Hall of Fame inductions, Omni William Penn Hotel, Downtown.
