Shake. Stir. Seduce. Estee Lauder has introduced a limited-edition makeup collection inspired by the series "Mad Men," which returns on Sunday to AMC with a special two-hour season premiere.
The collection features classic makeup items that re-create the look of the women in the show's 1960s New York City setting. Frosted pink lipstick (Pinkadelic, $30) and See Thru Blush in a shimmering pink (Light Snow, $50) bring back that moment in time. Nail lacquer in Pink Paisley ($24) adds a glistening pink finish to the finger tips.
But the best part is the packaging. The cosmetics come in leather-like gold pouches, with a fluted gold case for the lipstick and an enamel design that is a replica from the Estee Lauder archives for the compact. The shape and label on the nail polish is another vintage design. The outer cartons are modeled after the Estee Lauder packaging from the 1960s.
The cosmetics are available for a limited time at www.esteelauder.com.
