After weeks of scrutinizing, agonizing and just plain wondering, it's here -- the new Saint Laurent Paris (formerly Yves Saint Laurent) logo.
The fashion world went into a frenzy when the brand's new creative director, Hedi Slimane, ordered a makeover for the longtime leader of first-class fashion. The latest change surfaced on the SLP Facebook page with a photo depicting the fresh moniker on a black box. It's simple, with the name spelled across two lines in a small, uppercase font.

Pittsburgh Fashion Week model call: Get noticed -- and maybe land a chance to walk at Pittsburgh Fashion Week -- at a model call tonight at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Downtown. Females 16 and older, who wear between a size 0 and 6 and are at least 5 foot 10, are invited to participate.

Biker couture at Station Square: Art Institute of Pittsburgh students will bring a fashion flavor to Station Square's weekly Thursday Bike Night. This week, models will show off "biker-chic" looks with accessories and apparel from Three Rivers Harley. Fashion design students will judge the crowd's style sense as part of the Biker Couture Style Awards. The night also will feature live music by NOMaD.

New store layout coming to JC Penney: If you've been to JC Penney lately, you may have noticed some moved merchandise, blockaded sections and construction. It's part of the redesign new CEO Ron Johnson, formerly of Apple, has planned for the department store. Rather than aggregating clothes in open sections, they'll soon be organized by brand and displayed in in-store shops, which will be connected by "streets." The goal is to transform stores into "town squares" that will house close to 100 in-store boutiques.
"House of Style" to return to MTV: The Cindy Crawford-hosted fashion series of the early '90s that explored the ins and outs of the modeling world will be reinvisioned for the digital era when it makes its comeback this fall. New installments will be primarily presented on the Web. A search for a host is under way, with an announcement expected Sept. 6 at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Kardashian sisters to launch plus-size denim line and contest: The Kardashian clan's latest fashion venture for Sears (which already sells the Kardashian Kollection) is a curve-friendly denim line called Kardashian Kurves. To "kommemorate" the project, the sisters and CELEBUZZ are asking women to submit a full-length photo of themselves in their favorite jeans, along with a few sentences about why they love their curves, for a chance to model for the collection's ad campaign. Madonna footwear line debuts: Want to spice up your shoe collection with something sultry? Madonna's "Truth or Dare" line will fill the void with an abundance of black and studs, over-the-knee boots, high heels and strappy options. Find them starting Wednesday at Macy's and Nordstrom, and on Zappos.com later in August. They'll go for $89 to $349.
