St. Andrew's Day Service & A Taste Of Scotland

Grab your kilt and join the church for their annual St. Andrew's Day Service featuring bag pipes, Scotish scripture readings, singing and communion.

The patron saint of Scotland, Russia, Romania and other countries, Andrew was one of Jesus' Apostles. According to the Bible, he was present at many important moments in Jesus' life.

Following the service there will be having "A Taste Of Scotland" which will includes many traditional Scottish treats and goodies.

African Drum Classes

Master teacher Aboubacar Oscar Camara leads this regular program people for all ages and all levels to come together, make friends and have some fun while learning authentic African dance drumming.

The majority of African music relies heavily on the playing of drums, typically played in an intense rhythmic style that is fast-paced and upbeat.

Admission is a suggested donation of $10. Participants are encouraged to bring a djembe or doundoun or borrow one of the loaners. Two levels will be taught. For more information, contact camara.oscar@yahoo.com

Drink delicious cranberry tea, eat tasty cookies and listen to timeless holiday musical numbers while making or learning the art of wreath making, a perfect way to ring in the Christmas season.

Novice and advanced wreath makers alike are invited to this free holiday event. Assistance is available from seasoned wreath makers. Please remember to wear old clothes; provide your own greens; and bring wire cutters, rose clippers, garden gloves and any wreath decorations. Supplies, such as frames and wire, will be available for purchase at the event.

The workshop is presented by I Made It, a regularly occurring, nomadic market that provides the opportunity for entrepreneurs to establish their businesses and to enjoy low barriers for bringing their wares to market in order to create successful businesses built on arts and crafts.
