Polar Bears: Symbols Of The Arctic
Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium  [ venue info ]
11/7/2009 1pm

Join the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium for a live video conference with scientists living and working along side nature's most dedicated predator: polar bears.

Native within the Arctic Circle, the polar bear is the world's largest carnivore species found on land. It is considered a vulnerable species with 5 of the 19 polar bear subpopulations in decline.

Also meet with PPG Aquarist Josie Romasco to learn about her recent trip to the Arctic to study polar bears. For more information, call (412) 665-3640.
