Dante DiIanni, who has been a cabinetmaker for 14 years, leads this class on using hand planes in woodworking.

Hand planes are central to the mastery of fine woodworking. Most "fresh out-of-the-box" planes, as well as all of the bargains you find at a flea market need to be tuned before they can be effective. Each class member will tune a smoothing plane. The techniques as applied to block planes will be discussed.
