This beautifully restrained 2009 film, it stars up-and-comer Zoe Kazan –-- granddaughter of legendary director Elia Kazan – --as cherubic college student named Ivy, who has epilepsy.
Back home for the summer with her dance teacher mother, she keeps her condition at bay as long as she manages her emotions. As the hot New York summer melts on, Ivy plays phone tag with her boyfriend, but when they do awkwardly connect, each long pause reveals their growing distance.
