Mt. Lebanon School District has suspended the high school choir director after a graduate of the school said the director made "inappropriate communications of a sexual nature before and after graduation," according to a letter dated Thursday that the district sent to parents.
Jason Greenawalt began teaching at the high school in 2004 and has been musical director for the annual spring musical. He also supervised choral activities and was band auxiliary sponsor.
In the letter, superintendent Timothy Steinhauer said the district "promptly" notified police Monday and has learned that an arrest warrant has been issued on charges of corruption of a minor, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal use of a communication facility.
