Duquesne University head men's basketball coach Jim Ferry announced the signing of three players to National Letters of Intent Wednesday as well as the addition of a four-year transfer. Signing with the Dukes were guard Desmond Ridenour (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/M.A.C.K. Prep), forward Jordan Robinson (Toronto, Ontario/Quality Education Academy) and junior college transfer Tra'Vaughn White (Kansas City, Kan./Independence CC).
The trio joins fall signee Isaiah Watkins (Toronto, Ontario/St. Benedict's Prep) to form the 2013-14 recruiting class.
Ferry also announced that 6-2 shooting guard Micah Mason (Natrona Heights, Pa./Highlands/Drake) - who played at Drake last season - has signed a financial aid agreement and will be part of the men's basketball program this fall. However, he will sit out the 2013-14 season due to NCAA transfer rules. He will have three years of eligibility at Duquesne.
"I'm extremely excited about this year's recruiting class," said Ferry. "We were able to address a lot of needs as well as strengthen the weaknesses that were obvious last season. We were able to add quality ballhandling, scoring, shooting, size and versatility and we were able to do it with good people from great families who have received outstanding coaching.
"This group will help get us much closer to playing the way we want to play."
