Little Bites: Brunch at Bite Bistro, beer dinner at Bigelow Grille, wine dinner at Alla Famiglia

• Bite Bistro, Bellevue, is now offering brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the last Sunday of each month, starting June 24. The brunch menu includes sweet and savory dishes such as shrimp and grits with chorizo and oven-dried tomatoes and brioche French toast with fruit compote. Meals include complimentary sangria and reservations are available. In addition, Bite Bistro is introducing a tasting menu on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday that includes a starter, salad, choice of chicken, fish or beef and gelato for $35;, 412-761-9500.

• Bigelow Grille at the Doubletree Hotel, Downtown, is holding a beer dinner with Victory Brewing Co. and Wild Purveyors at 6 p.m. June 26. Four-course dinner paired with beer, $45 per person; reservations strongly suggested;, 412-281-5013.

• Alla Famiglia, Allentown, is holding a wine dinner at 6:30 p.m. Monday; four wines paired with a family-style dinner including polenta cake piazzaiola, roasted beets, roast leg of lamb and a la carte desserts; $55, reservations required;, 412-488-1440.

• Tickets ($75) are on sale at the Sharp Edges and for the "Ultimate Belgian Bier Dinner," to be held Friday, June 22, before the weekend Great European Beer Festival, at the Sharp Edge Beer Emporium in East Liberty. Culinary director Ray Ellis will prepare the dinner -- pate, fruit and cheese plate, framboise sorbet, Belgian endive salad, baked monkfish, pork tenderloin and Magma gelato -- to be paired with six Troubadours brews from Belgium. Four of the beers have not been previously poured in Pittsburgh.

Try dozens of imported beers at the festival, which runs over three sessions: 3 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $60 ($65 after June 22). Visit the website or call 412-661-3537.
