Scott G. Dunlop, shareholder and managing attorney, Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, was elected to membership of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County. A member of the firm's professional liability department, Mr. Dunlop focuses on the defense of local governments, their elected and appointed officials, and their employees. He received his J.D. at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
The following Campbell & Levine attorneys were selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2014: Douglas Campbell, Stanley Levine, Paul Cordaro, Philip Milch and David Salzman were selected for their work in bankruptcy and creditor-debtor rights, insolvency and reorganization law. Mr. Salzman is also recognized in the field of litigation (bankruptcy). Sara Davis Buss and Christopher Rayl were selected in the field of public finance law. Ms. Buss was also named "Lawyer of the Year" in Pittsburgh for public finance law, and she serves as the chair of the 2014 Bond Attorney's Workshop, and will be an ex officio director for one year of The National Association of Bond Lawyers.
Houston Harbaugh said Gregory A. Harbaugh, a founding member, was elected to serve as chairman of the board at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He concentrates his practice in the areas of business law, tax and general corporate matters and estate planning and administration, and received his degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
Peter J. Kalis, chairman and global managing partner of K&L Gates LLP, was recognized by The American Lawyer magazine as among 50 innovators who have shaped the global legal industry over the past five decades.
Mr. Kalis was one of a dozen law firm leaders cited by the magazine as "master strategists." The publication specifically noted Mr. Kalis' leadership in making K&L Gates the first "financially transparent" U.S. law firm.
Michael L. Kraemer and David M. Manes have launched Kraemer, Manes & Associates LLC. The firm practices business law, employment law and civil litigation. Mr. Manes leads the business practice, representing small businesses throughout Western Pennsylvania.
Mr. Kraemer leads the employment practice, representing individuals with unemployment, wrongful termination and Social Security benefits issues. Previously, Mr. Kraemer was the founding attorney of Kraemer Law Firm and Mr. Manes was a partner at the Kisner Law Firm.
