United States Steel Corp. announced a series of management changes in the company's raw materials and procurement organizations.
Marc Stoken, general manager of raw materials, has announced his retirement after 37 years with U.S. Steel.
He will be succeeded by Scott Conley, effective Tuesday. Management changes within the procurement organization include the naming of Eric Schomer as general manager, global materials management and procurement support, succeeding Miroslav Kiralvarga, who will return to U. S. Steel Kosice effective Tuesday. John Foody joins U. S. Steel as general manager, procurement.

Brendon P. Costa, financial adviser, Henderson Brothers Retirement Plan Services, was named a Five Star Wealth Manager as reported in the July issue of Pittsburgh Magazine.
Allegheny County Council recognized Richard L. Allison, dean of academic affairs and coordinating dean of Allied Health for the Community College of Allegheny County Boyce Campus, with a proclamation in his honor.
This follows Mr. Allison's receipt of the EMS Champion Award for "significant contributions to the health and safety of the residents and visitors to Allegheny County" at the 36th Annual Meeting of the Allegheny County Emergency Medical Services Council.
He was nominated for the award for his work in the curricular transformation of the college's existing noncredit paramedic program to a credit-bearing certification and degree program.
Jan Levine, associate professor and director of the Duquesne School of Law's Legal Research and Writing program, received the Thomas F. Blackwell Memorial Award for outstanding achievement in the field of legal writing.
Presented annually by the Association of Legal Writing Directors and the Legal Writing Institute, the award is given to a person who has made an outstanding contribution to improve the field of legal writing.
