Spilman Thomas & Battle PLLC said the following attorneys were selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2014 directory of leading attorneys: Carl H. Hellerstedt, Jr., employment law (management), labor law (management), labor and employment litigation; Nathaniel C. Hunter, real estate law; and Ronald W. Schuler, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions law. Best Lawyers, published by Woodward White Inc., is based on a peer-review survey.

Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP announced that Nicholas J. Bell was part of the Allegheny County Bar Association Bar Leadership Initiative Class of 2012-13 that won first place in the American Bar Association's national Award of Achievement for Most Outstanding Single Project (Service to the Public) contest.

Mr. Bell is an associate and member of the litigation and dispute resolution group. He earned his law degree from Duquesne University.

For their community project, the class addressed the growing issue of students texting while driving as well as drunk driving.

Donald M. Lund joined Leech Tishman as a partner and co-chair, litigation practice group. He also practices in the construction and energy practice groups. He focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation matters, including contract, business tort, construction, real estate and energy litigation. Prior to joining Leech Tishman, he was a director at Cohen & Grigsby, where he headed the firm's construction and real estate litigation practice.

Houston Harbaugh announced that three of its attorneys were named among the 2013 Top-Rated Lawyers in Taxation Law by American Lawyer Media and Martindale-Hubbell: John D. Houston, Michael J. Dempster and Bradley J. Franc.

Mr. Houston, a founding member, concentrates his practice in the areas of health care, general corporate matters and estate planning and wealth preservation. He received his law degree from the George Washington University.

Mr. Dempster, director and a member of its executive committee, concentrates his practice in corporate and commercial transactions, including real estate development. He received his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School.

Mr. Franc concentrates his legal practice on business planning, commercial transactions, federal and state tax issues, and estate and succession planning. He received his law degree from the Pitt.

K&L Gates LLP has been ranked by legal news outlet Law360 as one of "the 20 law firms that had the largest global presence and were involved in the biggest, most complex and most diverse array of cross-border matters" in the publication's third annual Global 20 survey. Law360 has recognized K&L Gates on its list of leading law firms each year since the survey's inception in 2011. Firms are selected for the list based on their global experience and capabilities.

Gregory A. Miller of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney was named to The International Who's Who of Management Labor & Employment Lawyers 2013, a compilation of 727 experts in 62 jurisdictions around the world who are considered to be leaders in the field of labor and employment.

Mr. Miller's practice encompasses a range of employer counseling and employment litigation issues in both state and federal court, including the defense of employers against Fair Labor Standards Act collective actions and related state law class actions.

Robert G. DelGreco Jr., attorney and shareholder of Dickie McCamey & Chilcote, P.C., was appointed by Gov. Tom Corbett to the Judicial Conduct Board. Mr. DelGreco will serve the four-year term as a lawyer elector member through July 2, 2017.

During his 30-year career, Mr. DelGreco has represented public officials, doctors, professional athletes and coaches, authors, entertainers and fellow attorneys. He is a graduate of the Duquesne University School of Law.
