Allegheny County Bar Foundation elected the following officers for 2013-2014: President Kenneth M. Argentieri; Vice President Richard S. Wiedman; Secretary Mary K. Austin; Treasurer Patricia L. Dodge; and Immediate Past President Carol A. Behers.

Jessica L. Crown of Goehring, Rutter & Boehm was appointed to the Allegheny County Bar Foundation board of trustees. Ms. Crown maintains a family law and municipal law practice, and is also experienced in areas of business law and real estate litigation.

The mission of the foundation, which is the charitable arm of the Allegheny County Bar Association, is to promote justice and improve the community through public service law-related programs.

Christopher Amar, associate, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, was appointed as chair of the Allegheny County Bar Association's Asian Attorneys Committee for the 2013-2014 term.

Mr. Amar focuses on complex commercial litigation at both the trial and appellate levels, litigating disputes for public and private corporations, energy-related companies, cultural institutions and others.

The University of Pittsburgh School of Law and the Law Alumni Association have announced that Marvin Lieber, Chester R. Babst III, Timothy Burke and Linda Beerbower Burke are this year's Distinguished Alumni Awardees.

The annual award recognizes graduates of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law who, through the accomplishments in their careers and contributions to their profession and their communities, have exhibited outstanding leadership qualities and enhanced the reputation of the law school.

The following attorneys with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney were selected by their clients and peers for inclusion among America's Leading Business Lawyers by Chambers USA in the practices of Antitrust, Banking & Finance, Corporate/M&A and Private Equity, Environment, Intellectual Property and Labor & Employment: Craig S. Heryford, Lynn J. Alstadt, Thomas S. Giotto, Calvin R. Harvey, Wendelynne J. Newton, Thomas M. Thompson, Thomas G. Buchanan and Howard J. Wein.

Marshall Dennehey shareholders Chad A. Wissinger and Teresa O. Sirianni were named 2013 Pennsylvania Rising Stars. Mr. Wissinger was recognized in the areas of construction and environmental litigation and Ms. Sirianni in the areas of employment and labor and professional liability (defense).

Frank, Gale, Bails, Murcko & Pocrass, P.C. said founding shareholder Frederick N. Frank was selected as a 2013 Top Rated Lawyer in banking and finance law by The American Lawyer and Corporate Counsel magazines.

The following attorneys with Robb Leonard Mulvihill LLP were selected to the 2013 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list: Dennis St. J. Mulvihill, Arthur J. Leonard, John A. Robb, Jr., Bruce E. Rende, Robert A. Loch, Thomas J. Farnan, Rhonda J. Sudina, R. Douglass Klaber, Jr., Daniel L. Rivetti and Mark A. Martini.

In addition, Mr. Mulvihill, Mr. Klaber and Mr. Rivetti were selected to the Top 50 Pittsburgh Area Pennsylvania Super Lawyers 2013 list. Amy M. Kirkham was selected to the 2013 Pennsylvania Rising Stars list.
