Sisterson & Co. LLP said that Joseph P. Nicola Jr. and Mark Uebele have been admitted to the partnership.

ParenteBeard LLC promoted the following individuals to seniors in its audit and accounting services practice: Kyle Fisher, Ashlee Krivda, Jaysa Stitt and Nathaniel Thomas; promoted to managers: Sara Cole, audit and accounting services practice, Aaryn Moses, audit and accounting services practice, Collette Pinault, forensic, litigation and valuation services practice, and Alexander Walther, forensic, litigation and valuation services practice.

Associations & Organizations

Colleen Williams of Herbert, Rowland & Grubic Inc. was elected by the Marcellus Shale Coalition's board of directors to serve as vice chair of the membership committee for 2012. MSC committees are responsible for crafting and communicating responsible practices for shale gas development in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, New York and Maryland.

Jeremy Bennington, senior vice president of Cheetah Technologies, joined the board of directors of the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions.


First National Bank of Pennsylvania hired Jill M. Burgman as vice president of Metro Business Banking.

Rita K. Schell was promoted to vice president/regional manager at First Commonwealth Bank.


RETTEW promoted Charles L. Myers to director of energy services.


Hefren-Tillotson Inc. hired two financial advisors in its Wexford office. David Riehl will specialize in retirement planning, estate planning, asset management, insurance and tax planning, utilizing Hefren-Tillotson's comprehensive MASTERPLAN program. Richard Birch will focus on client investment recommendations, retirement analysis, insurance strategies, estate planning and tax planning.


Bud Wotring was named director of mining distribution and new business development at Irwin Car and Equipment.

ARDEX Americas hired John Davis and Jessica Wilkenson as graphic designers.


Pittsburgh Young Professionals elected five members to its board. They are: Lauren Chapman, American Red Cross of Southwestern Pennsylvania; Sean Croner, Aflac; Jerimiah Lancaster, LANtek; John Oliverio, WESCO; and Jessica Stickle, Wyndam Grand.

The Continuous Learning Group Inc. appointed Vikesh Mahendroo, chief executive officer.

Valuation Research Corp. will be expanding its presence in the Midwestern U.S. with a new office in Pittsburgh. Eric Wissinger will join the firm and lead the Pittsburgh office.

J&J Truck Equipment, a division of Somerset Welding & Steel, said Chris Durborow joined the J&J Truck Equipment team as a regional sales manager.


Maisha Howze, prevention program manager for Familylinks, was named one of the 2012 Fab 40 awards by the New Pittsburgh Courier. This award showcases a select group of Pittsburgh's young African-Americans under age 40 who have opted to be part of the solution instead of the problem.

InVision Human Services recently conveyed leadership and achievement awards to individual employees for their roles in building the organization and helping it to earn a reputation of provider of choice for many county and state agencies that make referrals.

InVision's corporate office personnel in Pittsburgh were given the following awards: Dwayne Bogolea, residential counselor, who received the Ruth E. Siegfried Shaping Our Future Leadership Award; Lori Bahorich, program supervisor, received the Pursuit of Excellence Leadership Award.

Douglas F. Clough was honored by the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College for his ongoing leadership and grass-roots involvement in advocacy activities on behalf of patients and physicians in Pennsylvania.

The award was presented at the annual awards dinner. Dr. Clough is on staff at Allegheny General Hospital, UPMC Passavant Hospital and St. John's Specialty Care. He is also a clinical assistant professor of medicine with Drexel University. Dr. Clough also is chairman of the board for the Allegheny County Medical Society.
