Banking

First Commonwealth Financial Corp. hired Traci L. Conlon as vice president/regional manager to oversee 11 First Commonwealth community offices located north of Pittsburgh and promoted Matthew T. Zuro to vice president/regional manager to oversee 12 First Commonwealth community offices located east of Pittsburgh.

Sunil T. Wadhwani, co-chairman, iGATE Corp., was reappointed chairman of the board of the Pittsburgh Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland for 2011. In addition, Grant Oliphant, president and chief executive officer, The Pittsburgh Foundation, was appointed a director and Glenn R. Mahone, partner and attorney at law, Reed Smith LLP, and Todd Brice, chief executive officer, S&T Bancorp, were reappointed directors.

James E. Rohr, chairman and chief executive officer, PNC Financial Services Group Inc. was appointed to a one-year term as the fourth federal reserve district's representative on the Federal Advisory Council. The Federal Advisory Council is composed of representatives of the banking industry from each of the 12 Federal Reserve Districts.

Communications

Apple Box Studios named Michael Kadrie as its new art director.

Construction

Stephen Marinko joined Harchuck Construction Inc. as a project superintendent.

Health

West Penn Allegheny Health System appointed Robert Brandfass to serve as executive vice president and general counsel for the organization.

Serving as trustees for St. Barnabas Nursing Home Inc. are: Chairman: Walter DeForest, partner, DeForest Koscelnik Yokitis & Kaplan; president: Karen Tabacchi, oversees the operations, personnel and administrative decisions of St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas and The Arbors at St. Barnabas; secretary: Kellie Kelly, administrator of St. Barnabas Medical Center; treasurer: Kathryn Turnbull, co-founder, The HDH Group Inc.

Mark L. Tamburri will join the executive staff of UPMC as senior associate counsel and vice president of litigation on Feb. 28. Currently, Mr. Tamburri is a partner at Reed Smith, where he is in charge of associate development for the Pittsburgh office of Reed Smith's Commercial Litigation Group.

Insurance

First National Insurance Agency LLC hired Timothy J. Schmid as vice president of employee benefits in its Robinson Township office.

Marketing

Pipitone Group hired Adam Shoup, manager of interactive creative; Susan McLaughlin, senior content developer and Angelo DiPaolo, senior interactive developer.

Big Picture Media Solutions named Liz Longo media analyst and Heather Cordell media director.

Professional Services

The Event Group hired Courtney Pack as an event coordinator.

Real Estate

The Rubinoff Co. said Kristine Ritter Wilhelm has joined the Koppers Conference Center as its marketing associate.

Manufacturing

United States Steel Corp. announced several management changes in its North American and European operations. Malisa J. Sommers was appointed managing director -- transportation and president of Transtar, Inc., U. S. Steel's transportation subsidiary. Miroslav Kiralvarga will relocate to the United States from the Slovak Republic to succeed Sommers as general manager -- global materials management and procurement operations. Elena Petraskova will return to her native Slovakia after a four-year assignment in North America to assume Kiralvarga's former role of vice president -- management services & administration for U. S. Steel Košice.

Nonprofit

Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania hired Jaime Dray as marketing and special events manager; Megan Julius as district operations manager; and promoted Lauren O'Leary to marketing assistant to a marketing and special events manager.

Pennsylvania Women Work named Debra Killmeyer as interim executive director.
