Delta Air Lines will begin nonstop service from Pittsburgh International Airport to the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas in December, Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald announced this morning.
The Saturdays-only service to and from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and Nassau, Bahamas, will debut Dec. 21
The Punta Cana flight leaves Pittsburgh at 8:30 a.m. and arrives at 1:20 p.m. The return flight departs at 2:20 p.m. and arrives here at 5:20 p.m.
The Nassau flight leaves Pittsburgh at 8:30 a.m. and arrives at 11:20 a.m. The return flight leaves Nassau at noon and gets to Pittsburgh at 3 p.m.
Reservations can be booked immediately.
Mr. Fitzgerald also announced that Delta and Aeromexico have filed with the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Mexican government to add scheduled nonstop service from Pittsburgh to Cancun, Mexico. Delta will announce a flight schedule upon approval.
