County health department shuts down India Garden
India Garden on Atwood Street in Oakland was shut down by the Allegheny County Health Department Friday for multiple critical health code violations, including a recurring roach infestation and foods being held at unsafe temperatures. An inspector found roaches on top of the buffet, on the kitchen floor, among to-go containers and elsewhere, according to the inspection report. The restaurant had been hit with a Consumer Alert 10 days earlier and was closed following the reinspection because critical food safety violations had not been corrected, the health department said. Phone calls to the facility Tuesday went unanswered.
Mylan recalls mislabeled 3 mg ropinirole tablets
Mylan Inc. is recalling 3,048, 100-count bottles of ropinirole hydrochloride tablets used to treat Parkinson's disease. The nationwide recall, initiated April 22, involves lot number ZRMB11004 with an expiration date of September 2013. Bottles of ropinirole 3 mg tablets were found to be incorrectly labeled as 4 mg tablets, according to an enforcement report from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Starbucks will begin posting calorie counts June 25
Starbucks has a new way to wake up its customers: showing the calories in its drinks. The Seattle-based coffee chain will start posting calorie counts on menu boards on June 25.
Smithfield Foods plans to lay off 120 more
Smithfield Foods Inc. said Tuesday that it is laying off 120 more workers as part of its previously announced closure of a Portsmouth, Va., facility that makes hot dogs and deli meat. Layoffs began in January, with more than 400 workers to be affected by the time plant is closed. The move comes amid the company's pending takeover by China's largest meat producer.
Sprint sues to stop Clearwire purchase of Dish Network
Sprint is suing to stop Dish Network's buyout of wireless data network operator Clearwire. Sprint is seeking to buy the minority stake in Clearwire it doesn't already own.
Air bag sensors investigated in 205,000 Suzuki vehicles
U.S. safety regulators said Tuesday that they are investigating problems with air bag sensors in the seats of some 205,000 Suzuki vehicles including Grand Vitaras from the 2006 through 2011 model years and SX4s from 2007 through 2011.

RTI International Metals said it has a 13-year contract with Pratt & Whitney to provide titanium for use in the company's jet engines. The metal will be made by a new furnace at RTI's plant in Canton, Ohio.
