He's famous for his iconic paintings of Campbell's Soup cans, but Andy Warhol also produced more than 40 silk screen prints of Perrier bottles in 1983.
Now the bottler of French sparkling water is releasing limited edition bottles bearing Warhol's artwork, much as Campbell's did in August with labels to honor the 50th anniversary of the artist's first solo show.
But Perrier, in celebration of the company's 150th anniversary, is going a step further, offering a chance to win an original Warhol silk-screen, "Space Fruit Lemons," from 1978.
The glass and plastic bottles feature four different label designs in vibrant, pop-art colors, and Warhol quotes such as: "Art is what you can get away with" and "I have Social Disease. I have to go out every night."
The bottles will be available beginning Monday, wherever Perrier is sold.
The Take Home a Warhol sweepstakes will run from Monday to Sept. 30. To enter, visit www.perrier.com/warhol, where a gallery of Perrier and Warhol artwork and bottles will be displayed.
