Burns White hired Tara E. Hansen and Ashley E. Horton as associates in the firm's transportation group.

Focusing on the defense of toxic tort litigation, Ms. Hansen handled personal injury, employment and constitutional matters through arbitration, mediation and traditional litigation as an associate at Steele Schneider. She received a J.D. from Duquesne University.

Ms. Horton defends railroad clients in occupational illness litigation. She graduated from Duquesne University School of Law in 2011, where she received the Outstanding Appellate Brief and Oral Argument Award, and served as secretary of the Black Law Students Association.



Jeffrey W. Letwin, partner, Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, was selected as a 2013 Top Rated Lawyer in Banking and Finance Law by American Lawyer Media and Martindale-Hubbell. He is co-chair of the firm's bond finance practice group and chair of the franchise practice group.



Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC said that Louis A. DePaul, member and partner, was named a Young Lawyers Fellow of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation.

Mr. DePaul concentrates his practice on business litigation, covering a broad range of issues including complex commercial litigation, products liability litigation, real estate litigation, intellectual property litigation, bankruptcy litigation and employment disputes.

The Young Lawyers Fellows program of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation recognizes and honors the work of outstanding young lawyers who have shown a commitment to charity and public service.



All five partners of Pollock Begg Komar Glasser & Vertz LLC were selected for inclusion in 2014 edition of Best Lawyers in America. They are David S. Pollock, Todd M. Begg, Candice L. Komar, Daniel H. Glasser and Brian C. Vertz



Kristin Biedinger has joined Tucker Arensberg as an intellectual property associate. Ms. Biedinger comes to the firm from ChemImage Corp., where she was responsible for patent and trademark prosecution, intellectual property portfolio management, transactional work and government contracts. She is a graduate of Duquesne University School of Law.
