Bal­let The­atre

Pitts­burgh Bal­let The­atre signed five new full-time danc­ers to the com­pany ros­ter for its 45th an­ni­ver­sary sea­son. The new corps de bal­let danc­ers will make their PBT stage de­but at the com­pany’s an­nual “Bal­let Under the Stars” pre-sea­son per­for­mance Aug. 17, at the Hart­wood Acres Mid­dle Road Con­cert Area.

Three of the new danc­ers — Marisa Gry­walski, Mi­cha­ela King and Masah­iro Haneji — come to the com­pany from the Pitts­burgh Bal­let The­atre School Grad­u­ate Pro­gram, and danc­ers Jake Unger and Lucius Kirst come to Pitts­burgh from Hous­ton Bal­let II and Bal­let San Jose re­spec­tively. In ad­di­tion, Yoshiaki Nakano and Amanda Cochrane, both listed among Dance Mag­a­zine’s “25 to Watch,” have been pro­moted from so­lo­ist to prin­ci­pal — the high­est rank in the com­pany — and danc­ers Ga­bri­elle Thur­low and Ale­jan­dro Diaz have been pro­moted to so­lo­ists for the com­pany’s 45th an­ni­ver­sary sea­son.

First Com­mon­wealth Bank hired Robert Rein as vice pres­i­dent and busi­ness bank­ing of­fi­cer.

Burns & Scalo Real Estate Ser­vices Inc. hired Mi­chael Tho­mas to its fa­cil­i­ties man­age­ment team. He will over­see prop­er­ties in Green Tree, in­clud­ing sev­eral com­mer­cial of­fice build­ings in Foster Plaza, as well as re­tail and com­mer­cial of­fice space in Shadyside.
