Awards and Honors

Tom White, Duquesne University archivist and history lecturer, receive a Leadership in History Award of Merit from the American Association for his recent book, State and Local History for Witches of Pennsylvania: Occult History and Lore. The Award of Merit recognizes excellence for projects, individual achievement and general organizational excellence.

The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) presented The Mall at Robinson, with a silver U.S. MAXI Award. The 2014 ICSC U.S. MAXI Awards honor and recognize the marketing, community outreach, sales promotions, and visual merchandizing programs undertaken solely within the U.S. by U.S.-based retail real estate professionals and companies.

Margaret Good, president and founder of The Meridian Group, was honored with an Outstanding Individual Contributor Award at the 2014 Turnaround Management Association [TMA] Senate. Each year during the Senate, TMA recognizes members who raise the public profile of the corporate restructuring industry through volunteer services and dedication to the organization and its mission.

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens received a 2014 Pittsburgh Community Reinvestment Group (PCRG) Community Development Award for Homegrown, a new edible garden outreach initiative. Presented annually at the Community Development Summit to recognize outstanding achievement in the revitalization of urban neighborhoods in Greater Pittsburgh, these awards celebrate projects that create a positive, lasting impact on the physical, social or cultural fabric of a community.

P. Joseph Lehman, Inc. said Ryan M. Granville and Craig K. Stodart passed the examination offered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying for licensure as a professional engineer.

Pennsylvania MedExpress Urgent Care received a Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award from the Pennsylvania Psychological Association. The award recognizes organizations that understand the link between employee health and well-being and organizational performance and have implemented a variety of workplace practices in an active effort to create a positive work environment.

Barbara Ivanko, president and CEO, Family Hospice and Palliative Care, earned the title of Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Administrator (CHPCA), from the National Board for Certification of Hospice and Palliative Nurses.
