Banking

David Tetrick was named commercial region manager, commercial real estate for Huntington Bank.

Communications

A to Z Communications hired Jenna Enright as administrative assistant.

Education

Point Park University appointed Gary Bracken as vice president for enrollment management.

David J. Rhodess was appointed vice president for enrollment management at Thiel College.

Education Management Corp. said James Hobby was appointed to the newly created position of executive vice president of operational services and support and Charles Restivo was named president of The Art Institutes.

Nonprofit

Program to Aid Citizen Enterprise announced the appointment of Claudette R. Lewis, as the 2014-15 chair of its board of commissioners.

Pennsylvania State Securities Regulator Steven D. Irwin is the newest trustee of the Investor Protection Trust, a national nonprofit devoted to investor education.

Mark Laskow, president of the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission, announced that he will assume the role of chair of the commission, and that Walter F. Rutkowski, who has served as executive director, was elected president.

Real Estate

Prudential Preferred Realty promoted Jim Saxon to president.

Retail

Moonbeam Capital Investments said John A. Sabino joined Century III Mall as general manager.

Awards and Honors

Jan Levine, associate professor and director of the Duquesne University School of Law's Legal Research and Writing program, is the first law professor to be honored in one year with both the Association of American Law Schools Section on Legal Writing, Reasoning and Research Award and the Thomas F. Blackwell Memorial Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Legal Writing.

The Blackwell Memorial Award is co-presented by the Association of Legal Writing Directors and the Legal Writing Institute. The Legal Research and Writing program has been ranked by U.S. News and World Report as one of the nation's best every year since then. The magazine's most recent rankings issue places the program at No. 11 on its Best Law Schools Specialty Rankings: Legal Writing List.

Legend Financial Advisors Inc. said Brad Pendzick, an assistant adviser at Legend, has obtained the Accredited Wealth Management Advisor designation.

To obtain the AWMA designation, Mr. Pendzick was required to pass an exam consisting of 15 modules covering all five major disciplines of financial planning: insurance, investments, tax planning, retirement planning, and estate planning.
