Awards and Honors
The Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association presented Karen Pater with the Preceptor of the Year Award during its annual conference held at the Wyndham Gettysburg in September. The award is nominated by a PPA student member and recognizes a preceptor who goes above and beyond in their training and leadership for their students. Ms. Pater is currently an assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh. She supervises students at her two clinical sites, the UPMC Matilda Theiss Health Center and the Diabetes and Endocrinology Clinic at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
