Associations and Organizations

Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification named officers from the University of Pittsburgh's School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences: president-elect, Patty Costantini, adjunct professor with the Rehabilitation Science and Technology department (prosthetics and more); and secretary-treasurer, Jamie Schutte, instructor in rehabilitation counseling.

Lawrence W. Zahn, shareholder and tax specialist, Cottrill, Arbutina & Associates PC, was elected to the board of directors of Habitat for Humanity of Beaver County.

Construction Legislative Council of Western Pennsylvania announced the election of its officers for the 2013/2014 calendar year: chairman, Gregory Scott, American Society of Civil Engineers, Pittsburgh Section; vice-chairman, Jon O'Brien, Master Builders' Association of Western PA; treasurer, Rich Barcaskey, Constructors Association of Western PA; and secretary, Shawn Stevenson, Master Builders' Association of Western PA.


Apple Box Studios hired Lisa Kefalos as a marketing associate.

Kimberly M. Getgen was named vice president of corporate marketing at Tollgrade Communications Inc.


Allen & Shariff Engineering hired Christopher J. Drummond and Mark S. Wolfgang as senior mechanical engineers.

Health/Health care

Allegheny Valley Hospital said general surgeon Fernando Daniel Hayetian joined its medical staff. Dr. Hayetian has joined the practice of Alle-Kiski Surgical Associates with offices in Natrona Heights and New Kensington and has medical staff privileges at Allegheny Valley Hospital. Dr. Hayetian specializes in abdominal and laparoscopic procedures.

Canonsburg General Hospital said Shivani Duggal joined its surgical and medical staff. Dr. Duggal is a fellowship-trained dedicated breast oncology surgeon, specializing in breast-conserving surgery, or lumpectomy, sentinel lymph node surgery, and radiation balloon catheter surgery.

Kimberly M. King joined UnitedHealthcare as senior account executive for key accounts.


James A. Sullivan was named vice president of business development for Koppers Inc.


AJM Mortgage Inc. hired Lyndi J. DeLisio.

Awards and Honors

The New Pittsburgh Courier recognized Marla Bradford, senior employment recruiter in Duquesne University's Office of Human Resource Management, and Erroline Williams, director of professional development and corporate outreach in Duquesne's School of Leadership and Professional Advancement, as Women of Excellence. The Women of Excellence awards, now in their sixth year, honor Allegheny County recipients for demonstrating excellence in positions not traditionally held by African-American women.

Bruce Georgi, senior vice president/investments of The Georgi Group of Janney Montgomery, was named a 2013 Five Star Wealth Manager and is recognized in the July 2013 issue of Pittsburgh Magazine.

Bryan Whittington, sales associate and expert trainer at Sandler Training by Peak Performance was recognized for his leadership skills and sales training work during the Sandler International Conference. Mr. Whittington was the recipient of the Gold Award. He received the award for his contributions in developing revenue for the Peak Performance training center in Green Tree.
