Ron Hunt joined Fifth Third Bank Pittsburgh as a senior vice president, commercial banking division.

Communications

MarketSpace Communications hired Jake Metzger, art director; Gillian Moore, public relations and social media coordinator; and Kaylee Sturm, public relations and social media specialist; and promoted Hannah Matscherz to junior account executive

Dan Garcia has joined dck worldwide as business development manager.

Engineering

Rettew said Ian M. Simms joined its Pittsburgh office as a senior enginneer, transportation.

Health

Jefferson Regional Medical Center appointed Michael J. Evans vice president of surgical program development.

Joshua Gregson, a licensed clinical psychologist, joined Cognitive Dynamic Therapy Associates.

Barbara A. Raitano joined St. Barnabas Health System as director of sales and marketing.

Manufacturing

Seegrid hired Dave Noble, director of strategic marketing, and Michael Brueggman, director of quality.

Professional Services

Central Parking System promoted Ron Allison to the city manager position for the Pittsburgh Region portfolio.

Awards

YMCA and Forbes Health Foundation volunteer James S. Hamilton was named the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Western Pennsylvania Chapter's Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser of 2011. Mr. Hamilton will be honored at AFP's National Philanthropy Day Celebration on Nov. 17 at the Sheraton Station Square. Mr. Hamilton was co-nominated for this award by Forbes Health Foundation and the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh, the two of the organizations for which he volunteers. Now retired, Mr. Hamilton served for many years as a senior vice president at Federated Investors and brings a wealth of business and financial expertise to his board roles.

For his contributions to science and his years of service to the American Chemical Society, Jeffry Madura, professor of chemistry at Duquesne University, was named an ACS Fellow.

Mr. Madura is one of 213 scientists from around the world named ACS Fellows in 2011, the third year of the program.

David Koenig of Beaconsfield Financial Services was named Five Star: Best in Satisfaction Wealth Manager for 2011 by Pittsburgh Magazine. This is his third straight year for this honor. Mr. Koenig is a chartered retirement planning counselor and vice president offering financial services for individuals specializing in retirement planning.
