Education

Ronald C. Arnett was appointed the inaugural Henry Koren, C.S.Sp., chair in scholarly excellence at Duquesne University. Mr. Arnett is chair and professor of Duquesne's department of communication and rhetorical studies.

Herbert, Rowland & Grubic Inc. said Keith Miller joined its land development group as a project manager.

BNY Mellon Asset Servicing appointed James Slater to the newly created role of managing director and chief operating officer for Global Securities Lending.

Health & Medicine

John D. Fry, president and owner of Procurement Specialty Group Inc., was elected chairman of the board of Mon-Vale Health Resources Inc. and chairman of the board of trustees of its subsidiary, Monongahela Valley Hospital, Inc. R. Carlyn Belczyk was elected vice chairman, and Jeff M. Kotula was elected secretary of both boards. Ms. Belczyk is a certified public accountant, accredited in business valuations and a certified valuation analyst. She began her career in public accounting in 1986 and, together with Randy Guthrie, formed Guthrie, Belczyk & Associates PC. Mr. Kotula is president of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce.

The Children's Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center said Diane Hupp joined its board.

Ms. Hupp is vice president and chief nursing officer for Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.

Dr. Michael Semelka was appointed program director of the family medicine residency program at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital.

Allied Insurance Brokers Inc. said Charles Harris joined as an account manager for its nonprofit and human services division.

Douglas M. Hall joined The Webb Law Firm as a senior attorney.

The Regional Indicator, a nonprofit program of 3 Rivers Connect (3rc), appointed Douglas Heuck program director. Mr. Heuck succeeds project founder the late John G. Craig Jr..

Amy Kerr Parker, associate, Fox Rothschild LLP, was elected vice president of Lydia's Place.

Spina Bifida Association of Western Pennsylvania hired Sharon C. Wolf as director of development.
