The Southwestern Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants elected 2009-2010 officers. President: Thomas J. Rennie, president of Thomas J. Rennie CPA; president-elect: Kathleen L. DeMarchi, CPA; secretary: Rachel Fritz, accountant, Westmoreland County Housing Authority; and treasurer: Deborah K. Nicholas, controller, TJS Mining Inc.

Ellen Freeman, counsel, immigration section of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney's Pittsburgh office, was elected president of the American Immigration Lawyers Association Pittsburgh chapter.

Margaret B. Angel, shareholder, financial services section, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney's Pittsburgh office, was elected president of the Pennsylvania Association of Bond Lawyers.

First Commonwealth Bank promoted Joseph Brennan to senior vice president, corporate banking.

Apollo Trust Co. hired Nelson L. Person as executive vice president.

First Federal Savings Bank said Patrick O'Brien was elected to the board and appointed to serve as its president and chief executive officer.

Cathleen Donne joined Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, a division of Wells Fargo Bank, as a reverse mortgage consultant.

Stifel, Nicolaus & Co. Inc. said Michael Reese, financial adviser, joined its Pittsburgh office.
