The Comcast Foundation awarded Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh a $10,000 grant to establish the Teen Underground Café, a performance and arts space that will be managed by local teens and located at CLP-Main in Oakland. The grant from the Comcast Foundation is in recognition of Comcast's commitment to the communities where its customers and employees live and work. Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's Teen Underground Café will produce monthly events of live music and visual art developed by local teen artists. Elliott Co. relocated its Packaging Solutions business, formerly Elliott Oil Systems, from Donora to Belle Vernon. The move reflects the growth and expansion of the company's auxiliary systems business which encompasses Elliott oil systems, as well as dry gas seal, steam turbine, compressor, piping and turbine generator packaging.

The Children's Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center was awarded a $10,000 grant from the CVS Caremark Charitable Trust. The grant will support The Children's Home's pediatric medical day-care facility, Child's Way. The trust supports and rewards charitable organizations that are making a difference in the lives of children with disabilities. Child's Way meets this criterion by providing both medical services and child-care programs to help disabled children and their families.
Eric N. Anderson, partner and executive committee member, Meyer Darragh Buckler Bebenek & Eck was designated as the vice chair of the Pennsylvania Lawyers Fund for Client Security board. The fund was created in 1992 to provide reimbursement to individuals whose lawyers have misappropriated the funds of their clients.
