In another move designed to grow its coatings portfolio, PPG Industries said it has a deal to acquire The Homax Group, a Bellingham, Wash., business that supplies decorative wall and ceiling products used for home repairs.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Homax is owned by private equity firm Olympus Partners and has fewer than 40 employees.

PPG expects the deal to close in the third quarter.
