India Garden on Atwood Street in Oakland was hit with another Consumer Alert by the Allegheny County Health Department last week for an infestation of roaches and mice. An inspector also found live beetles and dead crickets in containers of rice and other food products.

The alert follows a prior alert issued in June, which was converted to a closure order that lasted one week due to a recurrent roach problem and other food safety violations. The most recent inspection was triggered by a complaint involving roaches, the health department said. Inspection reports for restaurants in the county are available at http://webapps.achd.net/Restaurant/.
