Goehring, Rutter & Boehm announced the addition of Leigha Coon as an attorney in its litigation group, focusing primarily in general litigation matters. Ms. Coon graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law with a certificate of advanced study in civil litigation. During her time in law school, she served as the vice president of the Pitt Law Women's Association.


Attorneys Amie Mihalko and Alexander Saksen have joined Gordon & Rees LLP. Ms. Mihalko is an associate and concentrates her practice in the area of civil litigation with an emphasis on professional liability. She earned her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law. Senior counsel Mr. Saksen's practice focuses on commercial, employment and corporate litigation. Mr. Saksen received his J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of the Law.


Grogan Graffam PC said John A. Bass was appointed to the Neighborhood Legal Services Association Board of Directors. Mr. Bass is a shareholder in the firm's professional liability practice group and concentrates his practice in medical malpractice and nursing home defense. He is a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County, as well as the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and the Defense Research Institute. He received his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law.

Neighborhood Legal Services Association is a nonprofit, public-interest law firm that provides free civil legal services to low-income individuals and families in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler and Lawrence counties.


Jones Day announced that eight new associates have joined its Pittsburgh office: Zachary R. Brecheisen, Michael Anderson Magee and Dominic I. Rupprecht, from Penn State University's Dickinson School of Law; Hayley Haldeman and Jeffrey J.
