The cafeteria workers at the University of Pittsburgh who do all of the university's catering called a strike this morning against Sodexo, the company that has the contract for the work.

The 200 workers are members of the Service Employees International Union Local 32BJ and currently in contract negotiations with Sodexo.

The union workers want higher wages, lower cost health care and the ability to organize the 150 other Sodexo workers on campus who are not currently represented by the union.
