What are some of the best places to work in Pittsburgh?

You tell us.

The Post-Gazette is kicking off its fourth annual search for the Top Workplaces in the region. (Nominate an employer here.)

In the past, the winners have ranged from FedEx Ground to Turner Dairy Farms. From Hefren-Tillotson to American Income Life Arias Agencies. From Google Pittsburgh to Therapeutic Early Intervention Services.

These widely different employers have one thing in common: an understanding that employee engagement is not just about morale, it's about the bottom line. It's no coincidence that workplaces where employees are valued are also successful workplaces.

Each year, the Post-Gazette partners with WorkplaceDynamics, a Exton, Pa.-based employee survey firm, to determine the region's Top Workplaces.

The only requirement is that an organization employs at least 50 people in the Pittsburgh area.

If your employer made the list in the past, congratulations and please continue to participate in what has become the region's biggest recognition of its best employers.

If your employer isn't on the list, ask them to participate this year.

There is no cost for the survey and every organization that takes part will receive feedback on its workplace.

Nominations are open to all employers, including nonprofits and government, that have at least 50 workers in the greater Pittsburgh area, including Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland counties.

To see a sample of the survey, go to www.workplacedynamics.com/employee-survey.

Top performers will be recognized in a special Post-Gazette publication this fall and online.

To see last year's special section, go to www.post-gazette.com/business/topworkplaces. There will also be a PG-sponsored special event in honor of all the winners.

To nominate an employer, go to www.post-gazette.com/nominate or call 412-428-8020. The deadline for nominations is Feb. 21.
