A woman killed in a fatal crash early this morning in Ligonier Township may have been using her cell phone while driving, according to authorities.

Westmoreland County Coroner Kenneth Bacha said Tiffany M. Wiedemann, 31, of Boswell, Somerset County, was traveling east on Route 30 in Ligonier around 3:55 when her vehicle veered off of the road and rolled over, ejecting her from the vehicle.

Ms. Wiedemann was transferred to Excela Latrobe Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to the chest and abdomen, according to the coroner. She was not wearing a seat belt, Mr. Bacha said.
