A Larimer man charged last week with shooting a woman in a hotel near PNC Park now is facing charges that he kidnapped and raped her in February.

Police said that after the woman ended her relationship with Billy Long, 68, he drove her to a Murrysville motel, where he forced her into a room at gunpoint, police said. There, police said, he raped her and poured alcohol on her after she refused to drink with him.

Between 12:15 and 12:43 a.m., she called 911 at least eight times, twice from the hotel, police said. The 911 center tried calling back twice.

After Mr. Long took the woman home, she told police, she answered a knock at her door, assuming it was police. It was Mr. Long, who allegedly told her, "Don't call the police, or I'll kill you and your daughter," and punched her in the eye.

Pittsburgh police today charged Mr. Long today with rape, sexual assault, kidnapping and simple assault.

Police said Mr. Long shot the woman Aug. 30 in the Residence Inn on General Robinson Street during an argument over crack cocaine and initially tried to disguise his actions by saying she'd shot herself.

He faces charges of aggravated assault and gun violations in connection with the shooting.
