Two shot overnight in Pittsburgh, Penn Hills

Two men were shot to death early this morning in Carrick and Penn Hills.

Lamar Pondexter, 36, of Pittsburgh, was found shot at 1:38 a.m. on Nobels Lane by Denise Street, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office said. He was pronounced dead at the scene five minutes later. Police have made no arrests yet.

Two hours later, someone shot James Lipford, 34, of Homewood, on Pearl Road in Penn Hills, the medical examiner's office said. He was pronounced dead shortly after 4:30 a.m. at UPMC Mercy Hospital.
