Shaler police continue to search for a man following an armed Friday home invasion, and are seeking the public's help.

A man entered a home on the 200 block of Seavey Road around 2:45 p.m., brandished a handgun and demanded money, Shaler police said. A purse was taken.

Police described the suspect as a white man in his 30s, standing about 5-foot-6 with a medium build and short hair, and wearing khaki shorts.

After leaving the home, he got into a red station wagon with tinted windows, police said. The vehicle may have a Pennsylvania license plate of HTX-6159, police said.

A second person was in the car, but police said a description of that person is not available.

Shaler police can be reached at 412-492-2222.
