Duquesne held on to beat Fordham 77-67 Wednesday night with the help of a career high 30 points by B.J. Monteiro.
The Dukes, which led 46-29 at halftime, let the Rams back in the game in the second half on some weak shooting early on.
With 11:24 to play in the second half Fordham had closed within one point: 57-56.
The Dukes recovered, used two key 3-pointers by T.J. McConnell and hung on for the win.
Monteiro finished with 30 points, eight rebounds and McConnell scored 13, had seven rebounds, six assists and five steals.
Duquesne, now 15-10, 6-5 in the Atlantic 10 travels to Temple on Saturday.
Fordham drops to 9-15, 2-9 and has a 1-11 road record.
