The death of a Beaver Falls High School student who died Friday after she was hit by a train near the 15th Street railroad crossing has been ruled a suicide.

Beaver County Coroner Teri Tatalovich-Rossi made the ruling in the death of Taylor Elizabeth Donnadio, 16, of Beaver Falls, following an autopsy today. Taylor was pronounced dead at about 1 p.m. Friday.

Ms. Tatalovich-Rossi said a Northfolk Southern conductor witnessed Taylor walk onto the tracks and into the path of the train. Additionally, an investigation by Beaver Falls police indicated Taylor has been having "some problems," Ms. Tatalovich-Rossi said.

"It's so sad. It has been bothering all of us the last two days," she said.

The high school was open at 9:30 a.m. today to offer grief counseling, according to the school district's website.

The cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma, the autopsy indicated.
