BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Wide receiver Derek Moye had six catches for a career-high 158 yards and a touchdown today, leading Penn State to a lethargic 16-10 victory over Indiana.
Moye pulled in a 74-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Matt McGloin with 1:31 remaining in the third quarter as the Nittany Lions won their Big Ten Conference opener at Memorial Stadium.
It was Moye's 18th career touchdown catch, and his third in two weeks.
Anthony Fera kicked field goals of 22, 27 and 33 yards for Penn State (4-1, 1-0 Big Ten), which has won all 15 career matchups against the Hoosiers (1-4, 0-1).
Sophomore tailback Silas Redd had his third career 100-yard game for the Lions, finishing with 126 yards on 30 rushing attempts.
Indiana pulled to within 16-10 with 3:51 to play when quarterback Dusty Kiel tossed a 5-yard touchdown pass to tight end Ted Bolser.
Starting quarterback Rob Bolden's fourth interception of the year on the Nittany Lions' first series of the game set up Indiana's other points -- a 49-yard field goal from Mitch Ewald.
