A Fayette County woman pleaded guilty Monday to conspiring with her boyfriend to drug her 13-year-old daughter so he could try to impregnate her.
The multiple attempts were never consummated, and police arrested the adults.
Sentencing has not yet occurred for the 34-year-old Uniontown mother, whose name is being withheld in order to not identify her daughter.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette does not identify victims of sexual assault.
The woman pleaded guilty to numerous charges including criminal conspiracy, unauthorized administration of an intoxicant, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors. Several charges were dropped as part of the plea deal.
The trial of the woman's boyfriend, Dewayne A. Calloway, 42, of Uniontown, is pending. Mr. Calloway is facing roughly two dozen charges, including attempted rape.
Police arrested the couple April 2, 2009.
They couple hatched the plot because they wanted a baby and the mother was infertile, police said.
Several attempts were made to drug the girl into submission using rum and Tylenol PM, according to a police affidavit.
