Winter weather advisory; 4 to 6 more inches possible

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Pittsburgh and most of southwestern Pennsylvania, saying another 4 to 6 inches of snow could fall on the winter-weary city on Monday and Monday night.

The advisory is in effect from noon Monday to noon Tuesday.

The weather service is calling for snow to begin after noon and accumulate 1 to 3 inches by nightfall. It will continue to accumulate into Tuesday morning.

A winter storm watch remained in effect for Cambria and Somerset counties.
